Fees
The price in writing, before any work begins.
Most family matters can be handled for a fixed fee. When a case needs hourly work, you get a written estimate and a monthly cap you approve. No surprise invoices.

Good to know
How paying for a family case works.
How a retainer works
For hourly cases we ask for an advance, usually $3,000 to $5,000. It sits in a client trust account and we draw on it only as work is done. Anything unused comes back to you.
Payment plans
Fixed fees can be split into three or four monthly payments at no extra cost. Tell us on the first call and we will set it up before any work starts.
A monthly cap you approve
On hourly work we agree a monthly ceiling with you. We never go over it without asking first, in writing.
What changes the cost
The number of disputed issues, whether the other side has a lawyer, business or property valuations, and how many court hearings are needed.
